Disclaimer: This foodie flag project was created for the Sydney International Food Festival by WHYBIN/TBWA (woah, longest acronym EVER) a few years back. BUT, I just just stumbled upon it and couldn't resist sharing it. Edible flags, yum!

The flags were created using food associated with each country. Pictured above: 

Italy: basil, pasta, tomatoes
Australia: meat pie, sauce
Switzerland: charcuteries and emmental
Turkey: Turkish Delight (lokum)
England: scone, cream, jam
Lebanon: Lavash, fattoush, herb spring
United States: hotdogs, ketchup, mustard or cheese (apparently the fact that our stars are white didn't matter, and they overlooked the obvious solution of blueberry and coconut Jelly Bellys
