Today, my grandpa turns 90. That's a lot of years to be on Earth—he's lived through everything in Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start the Fire," for goodness sake!
When I was growing up, he played an endless amount of Chinese checkers with me, and he helped me mow the lawn (well, technically I sat on his lap and he drove the riding lawn mower. details. )
All that and he was a paperboy, a mayor and a boy scout troop leader, as evidenced by these old newspaper articles I stumbled upon.
